Overview
LLA owns and operates a range of premier leisure attractions in the Asia Pacific region.
LLA operates through three businesses - the Oceanis Group ("Oceanis"), Australia Alpine Enterprise Pty Ltd ("AAE") and Treetop Walks which are responsible for our award-winning ski, aquariums and treetop walk attractions respectively.
Oceanis
LLA's Oceanis business is one of the world's largest owners and operators of aquariums, by number of customers and volume of displays. Oceanis aquariums offer local visitors and tourists an opportunity to interact with some of the most weird and wonderful, scary and spectacular undersea creatures. It provides premium care facilities for all its animals and continues to pursue the development of existing assets to deliver sustainable, long term growth. Most recently, Oceanis managed the construction and commissioning of the world's largest oceanarium and boutique underwater zoo in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and is currently responsible for the management and operation of both world class facilities.
AAE
AAE is the owner and operator of ski fields at the premier Victorian ski resorts, Hotham and Falls Creek. Hotham and Falls Creek collectively account for approximately 26 percent of the Australian skier market (by number of skier days) and feature the state-of-the-art infrastructure that attracts large numbers of new and return visitors. Recently LLA invested more than $3million in snow making infrastructure to substantially increase the terrain under snow on key ski runs at both resorts, improving the skier experience and ensuring the visitors can enjoy premium ski conditions from the beginning to the very last day of the snow season.
Treetop walks
LLA's treetop business comprises the Otway Fly in Victoria and the Illawarra Fly in New South Wales. The treetop walks are LLA's newest attractions and provide visitors an opportunity to learn about wild forest habitats and to explore the local surrounds from high in forest canopies. Each spectacular treetop walk is constructed with minimal impact to the natural forest bed and provides a breath-taking outing for families and school groups alike. Visitors can enjoy a meal at each of the attractions' cafes, purchase souvenirs at the retail centre or participate in self guided walks with interpretive signage.
